Freight Delivery & Inspection Policy
At Elemental Living & Contemporary Design, many of our products are large, outdoor furniture pieces that require specialized freight delivery. To ensure a smooth delivery experience, please review the following guidelines.
Freight Delivery Overview
All large items are shipped via freight carriers directly from our warehouse or supplier facilities. Freight delivery is designed to safely transport oversized or heavy furniture.
Freight carriers typically deliver to the front of your home or building (curbside delivery) unless otherwise specified.
Delivery Scheduling
Once your order arrives at the local freight terminal, the carrier will contact you directly to schedule a delivery appointment.
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive the delivery at the scheduled time.
Missed appointments or rescheduling may result in additional delivery fees charged by the freight carrier.
Inspection Upon Delivery
It is very important that you inspect your order before signing the delivery receipt.
Please follow these steps:

Carefully inspect the packaging and products for any visible damage.

If damage is visible, note the damage clearly on the delivery receipt before signing.

Take photos of the damage and packaging if possible.

Contact EL & CD within 48 hours with the details and images.
Signing the delivery receipt without noting damage may limit our ability to file a claim with the freight carrier.
Concealed Damage
If damage is discovered after unpacking, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide photos of the product and packaging. We will work with the freight carrier to determine the appropriate resolution.
Refused Deliveries
Refusing a shipment without proper documentation of damage may result in additional return freight charges which may be deducted from your refund.
Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring that:

The delivery location is accessible for freight trucks.

Adequate space is available for delivery.

Assistance is available if needed to move furniture from curbside into the home or patio area.
If you require additional assistance, you may consider arranging white-glove delivery services where available.
